Corey Damen Jenkins To Create Lush Landscape from Brazilian-themed Maravilha Collection

(March 2015—New York, NY)—Beacon Hill and interior designer Corey Damen Jenkins have paired up to create a table for the Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS’ (DIFFA) annual Dining By Design benefit in New York City this March, 2015. Drawing from a rich array of Beacon Hill silks, Jenkins’ design will focus on Maravilha, a new collection from the fabric house bursting with the vibrancy and zest of the city that inspired: Rio de Janeiro. Jenkins comments, “I’m honored to design this year’s DIFFA Dining By Design experience on behalf of Beacon Hill. The lively and chic Maravilha collection was the starting point for my table. The vignette will celebrate the Gypset lifestyle, which merges period, artisanal, and contemporary elements from around the globe into a cheerful rhythm. The textiles will give this table a bold and glamorous edge.” Maravilha exudes Beacon Hill’s signature well-traveled style with a South American twist, featuring motifs reminiscent of lush jungles in a twist on toile, woven silks creating a pixelated wave mosaic, and bursting metallic fireworks. The lush color palette is dominated by deep shades of blue and green with surprising accents of a sunny goldenrod yellow, and shimmery silver and gold metallic. From this collection, Jenkins will feature: Samurai Bloom (Island Blue), Silk Halo (Gold), Pattu Ottoman (Gold), Copa Mosaic (Island Blue). Jenkins will also include two custom chair options from Robert Allen’s new series of dining chairs: the Corey and the Vivian. Robert Allen’s dining chair program makes customization and designing a simple and efficient process. Designers may choose from a wide array of sleek-silhouetted chairs, bar stools, counter stools, and banquettes, and then may choose custom nail head trim, leg style, and seat height. Best of all, these comfortable and chic seats may be upholstered in any Robert Allen or Beacon Hill fabric. The Beacon Hill fabrics anchor the space in a palette of rich blues and elegant metallics, while a hand-painted glazed wallcovering by de Gournay and an oversized centerpiece lights from Global Views add to the table’s opulence. In addition to Beacon Hill and Robert Allen, other participating vendors include: de Gournay (glazed wallcovering), Global Views (decorative lighting), Marks & Tavano (custom table skirt fabrication), Nancy Price Interior Design (custom tablescape décor), Stark Carpet (decorative rug), TGF Contracting Corp (construction), and Arte Italica (dinnerware). DIFFA Dining By Design will run in conjunction with the Architectural Digest Home Show March 19-23, 2015 at Pier 92.
